The 90° butt-weld elbow is the workhorse of every process line. We form it from seamless tube by cold or hot stamping so there is no circumferential weld in the body, then machine the ends to a B16.25 bevel that matches the pipe wall.
Cold forming for DN15–DN100 gives tight ovality (≤1%) and a clean bore; hot forming is used above DN100 where wall thickness and diameter make cold work impractical.
Long radius (R=1.5D) is standard for lower pressure drop; short radius (R=1D) is available where space is tight.
Bevel angle, root face and bore diameter are machined to match the ordered pipe schedule, so the fitter is not grinding a step at the joint.
Ends can be supplied plain for socket or clamp connections on request.
Dimensional check of centre-to-face, angle, ovality and wall thickness on every lot.
RT or UT and 1.5× hydrostatic test can be specified and witnessed.
