Sanitary tube is specified by surface finish as much as by dimension. A Ra of 0.8 µm or better, with no crevice and no dead leg, is what allows a line to be cleaned in place and sterilised in place without dismantling it.
Internal mirror polish to Ra ≤ 0.8 µm as standard, Ra ≤ 0.4 µm on request; external polish bright or matte.
Bore is free of pits, draw marks and weld bead; welds are orbital and ground flush where a welded spool is supplied.
Tri-clamp (TC), DIN 11851, SMS, RJT and IDF ferrules; butt-weld ends for orbital welding.
Material is 304 or 316L, both accepted by 3-A and EHEDG practice; certificates and Ra measurement reports are issued with the lot.
